FIGHT CARS!
Categories: Freie Arbeiten

the car became for me sort of the symbol of the system and the society that I… yes, hate. I mean how nice is it, when once, for whatever reason cars are banned from the space that they usually occupy? Roads become playgrounds, picknick areas and public space used by life.

and it also stands for fear that all the people have, that they need a hermetically locked space around them if they leave their hermetically closed appartment. They want to be independent but they just end up in traffic jams. Honking, complaining, why is it not going faster? I once saw a sign on a balcony next to a busy road saying: “Hupen bringt nichts – du bist der Stau! Honking doesn’t change anything – you are the traffic jam!”

Everything gets covered in asphalt, so that the percious cars can park somewhere. And parking outside is not even enough, rather have your car in a garage so that it, well what? that it doesnt get wet? Proably most garages are more sophisticated houses than what would I call my home.

See them accelerating having the red light a few meters in front of them. Always faster, don’t loose any time. What if you didn’t go to work for all the money you had to earn to buy that car and to maintain it. How much of your prescious time you would save riding a bike?

And not yet considering the time of others. The time that invested less priviledged people and therefore with less valued time. How much human hours do you need to generate 1 liter of petrol? How much petrol do you have to burn to generate one liter of petrol? And how much time you need to spend to build a car? To extract the metal and the plastic from the soil, dig it out in mines, seperate it, transform the mineralised rocks, make it have the shape of a car, assemble the parts, build a car.  It takes probably more than a lifetime in total.

And don’t tell me about clean electric or hybrid cars. It is the same shit. It takes even more effort to construct them. And the electricity, where does it come from? Ah yes, for sure, from solarpanels and windturbines. (that for sure grow naturally on the fields) That is almost the worst, the ones who want to improve the world, buying a electric car.

PS: when I was looking for the song, the search engine proposed me a video about roof stability tests of SUVs. The conclusion: If you have a very stable roof you have a higher chance to survive a rollover crash. Well, if you are not driving a SUV you have a much slighter chance to have rollover crash at all.
